PhD position modelling species range dynamics

We are searching for a highly motivated and qualified candidate interested in conducting a PhD focused on methods for modelling species range dynamics. The research will build on ongoing research within the group aimed at testing alternative range dynamics modelling tools via simulation. The candidate would be supervised by Dr Gurutzeta Guillera-Arroita, Dr Natalie Briscoe and Prof. Jane Elith, and be part of the Quantitative and Applied Ecology group at the University of Melbourne (https://qaeco.com) – a large and diverse group sharing a passion for ecology and conservation, keen to develop, test and apply quantitative tools to support environmental decisions and the study of natural systems.
